| We are looking for a team leader project control with substantial knowledge of E/I design and construction processes in the marine/offshore (preferably naval) markets. The candidate must have considerable insight and skills in the following areas:
„h Insight of costs;
„h Planning & scheduling techniques and associated software (MS projects, Sure Track)
„h Use of database applications i.e. Access
„h Commercial terms and conditions and basics of contract law.
It is a pre-requisite that the candidate is able and willing to work across Europe.
Duties
The position is about assisting the project manager in his controlling tasks to manage scope of supply, time and money related to the design and construction process of E/I discipline of vessels and platform in ship or construction yard.
„« To assist in set up of detailed schedule ¡V and to maintain it in terms of progress for:
„X design and engineering;
„X delivery of equipment and materials;
„X work preparation;
„X installation;
„X setting to work of electrical installation and associated systems.
„« To assist in set up of detailed budget and to maintain it in terms of actual costs and quarterly forecasts of cost to complete.
„« To maintain register of additional work (in terms of deviations to scope of supply or demarcation list) and contribute to costs estimates and sales price submissions.
„« To draft commercial letters.
„« To supervise the document control function in the project.
„« To change existing work practices
„« To evaluate the project after completion
„« To identify situations (extension of scope/time, changes in demarcation, delays, etc) for additional work/compensation) within the project
Responsibilities
To set up, maintenance and supervision of techniques/instruments/resources that will assist project manager in managing the project in terms of scope, time and money.
Position in organisation
Depending on size of project, Team Leader Project Control will report to site, Construction or Project Manager. In the line organisation team leader will report to Manager project control. |
