Job Details
| To Provide technical and commercial information to sales representatives and field sales managers, prepares quotations, assists in preparation of large project tenders and collects and maintains pricing and technical information from suppliers and service providers. Also carries out technical and pricing checks on incoming orders for products and services and enters orders into a computerised order entry system. Assists with administration and management of selected contracts using computer based contract management system and by liaison with sub-contractors/service providers.
Duties
To Provide technical and pricing information in support of sales representatives and field sales managers for B.A.C. products, Balticare services and other makes of heat transfer products.
To Prepared quotations for products and services within a computer-based quotation system.
To Assist in preparation of large project tenders including information, pricing schedules, bid drawings, documentation etc.
To Maintain project files in accordance with a structured filing system
To Liase with suppliers and service providers to collect and maintain current technical information and pricing for use when quoting. Check accuracy and completeness of customer orders, converts into order write-ups and enters into a computerised order entry system.
To Liase with Contract Engineering Department to assure smooth transition from project engineering to contract execution
To Attend sites, liases with sub-contractors/service providers and assists with contract administration and management of specific projects using a computer-based contract management system.
To Receive regular training in B.A.C. products, Balticare services and other heat transfer products to keep up to date with new models, features, services etc.
To Assist in the introduction of new products and services to the sales representatives.
To Visit customers and consultants as required in support of sales representatives and field sales managers.
Skills And Salary
Engineering degree or recognised engineering qualification.
At least 2-3 years industrial experience preferably in a project engineering environment
Knowledge of heat transfer – a basic knowledge of water chemistry and water treatment is also desirable
Specific knowledge of cooling towers and other types of heat exchange equipment is preferred.
Full range of PC skills including experience of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office
(25) days holiday and all public holidays
Office hours 9.00 am to 5.30 pm – basic working week 37½ hours

Group Personal Pension Plan – employer contribution is currently 3.8% of salary
