The Role. Responsible for 30 engineering staff through four team leaders. Areas of Accountability The overriding purpose of this appointment is to ensure that a first-class aircraft maintenance service is delivered to customers, both internal and external, enhancing standards of quality and ensuring customer satisfaction. This embraces:- Leading and managing the daily workflow Planning and prioritising workflows and projects Maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout the workshops Preparing and maintaining effective maintenance records to include maintenance undertaken, personnel employed, appropriate approvals, spare part sourcing and verification etc. Manage and make improvements to performance efficiencies on all maintenance activities Preparing annual budgets and monitoring performance – current budget approximately £3.5m per annum Managing the allocation of personnel to workflows operating in two hangers Manage and motivate the maintenance team, ensuring personal development, ensuring adequacy of suitably licensed and/or type approved personnel, and developing succession plans. Customer relations – managing client expectations and ensuring that quality performance. Investigates and reports on client complaints.
