| A leading role at the heart of the team, creating and delivering often complex and challenging control systems in the light of the ´big picture´. The scope ranges from identifying and developing the requirement, to design, realisation and optimisation of the control response as a key element of a complete package. In more detail this covers understanding the applications, generating plc control software, configuring SCADA applications based on Allen Bradley/Rockwell hardware and software, interface resolution, formal testing, deployment, documentation and client support. The role also encompasses the electrical design of the hardware scheme upon which the control system rests and functions; in accordance with relevant marine and industrial standards. The candidate: You will be well qualified, with an eye for detail and have a track record in the design of complex engineering systems, be an intuitive problem solver and excellent communicator. In our project team environment, you must be confident enough to back your own ideas yet ´open minded´ enough to see others´ points of view. We are interested in resilient and persistent problem solvers with a ´can-do´ approach. Successfully delivering all or parts of our projects against time and cost criteria will require you to demonstrate innovation, commitment, energy, intelligence and above all passion, whilst being commercially savvy. The team: join our engineering team working on a variety of innovative ´fast track´ projects, and be involved from concept through to commissioning. EB is involved in many aspects of offshore activity in oil and gas, submarine telecom, offshore renewables, defence and other activities; all characterised by a strong mechanical design content with integral hydraulic and control systems. |
