Job Details
| The Role
1. To provide superior quality engineering design/draughting services to our design team at Presteigne.
2. Have the ability to read and understand architectural plans and have good computer skills to enable them to design our quality timber frame buildings.
3. Produce mechanical general arrangements, detail drawings and material schedules which are clear, accurate, cost effective
4. Meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned safely and effectively.
5 Ensure that standard practices and details are utilised wherever possible.
6 Ensure that previous similar solutions are adapted and utilised wherever possible.
7 Report problems and deficiencies in the design and brief to an appropriate person.
Person Spec
1 Ability to produce engineering drawings and associated documents to a standard appropriate to ensure efficient construction
2 Ability to effectively operate AutoCAD
3 Good interpersonal skills
4 Ability to rationalise drawings and assist in the development of economic layouts
5 Knowledge of the general drawing requirements of a manufacturer of timber building or similar
6 Ability to communicate technical proposals clearly and to understand direction by others.
7 Appropriate computer literacy
8 Driving licence |
